Once quarried, the brick pavers are vibrated in a machine with water and smaller stones and pebbles; a process known as ‘tumbling’. The tumbling process creates a slightly softer edge, and adds a beautifully aged appearance, adding character and charm to the material. All the products within our range are available with a larger paving slab counterpart. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water is sufficient to keep most types of natural stone looking pristine. Beige & Harvest Brick Pavers are the most light and porous of the range and will therefore require a higher level of maintenance. We would not recommend laying these products in dark, damp, shady areas, as they are more prone to algae growth and foot markings.

Natural stone brick pavers are cut and processed pieces of natural stone, designed to be used as paving materials for outdoor spaces. Measuring 200 x 50 x 40mm, these pavers are extremely adaptable to suit your design. Their durability and refined aesthetics make them a popular choice for landscaping projects.

Are these pavers suitable for high-traffic areas like driveways?

Our natural stone pavers are exceptionally durable and capable of withstanding heavy vehicular and foot traffic, making them an excellent choice for driveways and high-traffic walkways. When choosing paving materials for use on a driveway, we would recommend staying clear of light, more porous materials, as they are less forgiving towards tyre markings and oil spots.

Do Natural Stone Brick Pavers need sealing?

We would recommend sealing lighter coloured, or any stone pavers that have a ‘sawn’ surface: Autumn Gold Sandstone Brick Pavers, Beige Sandstone Brick Pavers, Mint Sandstone Brick Pavers, and Egyptian Beige Limestone.

Sealing paving materials does not make them impervious to marking, and they will still require maintenance, but sealing helps you to remove stains, and makes regular maintenance easier.

How do I install Natural Stone Brick Pavers?

Our Natural Stone Brick Pavers are best laid on a full mortar bed, with mortar joints, as when installing natural stone paving. We recommend that you joint our stone pavers with 5mm wide joints. It is possible to reduce the width to as little as 3mm if an appropriate jointing mortar is used.

Natural Stone Brick Pavers can also be laid on a flexible sand screed to create a natural stone block paver. This is useful if using stone pavers in a driveway application. If using this method, we recommend brushing in a dry, fine pointing sand between the pavers to add flexural strength and to help protect the edges of the pavers from chipping.

How do I maintain my natural stone pavers?

Maintaining our pavers is a straightforward process. Regular sweeping and seasonal pressure washing with a mild detergent will keep them looking their best. For stubborn stains, specialised stone cleaners can be used. Before using any chemicals on natural stone, we strongly recommend that you apply them to an inconspicuous test area, before applying them across the whole area. Never used acid-based chemicals on limestone, as it will cause irreparable damage.
